What is Borrow A Bag?
Pre-loved fabric, once destined for landfill, has been lovingly recrafted into reusable bags.
If you’ve forgotten your reusable bag, feel free to borrow one from us!
Return it later to any participating Hatherleigh outlet — or keep using it to avoid plastic bags altogether!

Each bag is handmade by volunteers using donated materials.
While borrowing is free, donations help us keep the project going — supporting more bags and other Sustainable Hatherleigh projects like the Repair Café and Mending Workshops.
Want to Get Involved?
- Join a group sewing session – new members are always welcome!
- Sew at home with our patterns (see below) – we can provide fabric and labels.
- Donate old curtains or fabric to be upcycled into bags!
