Borrow - Use - Return
We are building a community resource in Hatherleigh where you can borrow items instead of buying them.
Borrow useful things from gardening and DIY tools to household and occasional use equipment. Sharing helps save money, frees up storage space and gives well-made items a longer life.
How will it work?
- Browse the Library of items, online or in person.
- Check availability.
- Book the item out for a week or two.
- Collect and return items to the Library.
Membership gives you access to borrow any item

Before we open we have jobs that NEED to be done.
Working Party
We have scheduled 2 dates for a working party.
Help us clean the inside of the container, paint the outside and make the surrounding area welcoming.

Volunteer
Be the friendly face of the Library.
Do you enjoy meeting people, sharing ideas and helping a practical local project grow?
Join our volunteer rota and help neighbours discover useful things to borrow.
What would volunteering look like?
- A one-hour introduction to the Library and ongoing support from Sustainable Hatherleigh.
- A couple of hours a month with another volunteer.
- Welcome borrowers - Check items in and out - Manage bookings - Share information - Keep the collection ready for the next borrower.
